Mycelius
The Great Receiver · Ruler of the Suspor · The Patient One
Does not take. Receives.
Mycelius is the ruler of the Suspor, keeper of death and return in the Church of Meh. The most transparent name in the pantheon, on purpose. The other gods treat Mycelius with something between reverence and relief, because without dissolution, nothing new can grow.
Last came Mycelius. Not from the surface, but downward, threading deeper than any of the others had gone, descending into the depths without stopping.
Mycelius governs the Suspor: the realm just below what the living can perceive, where everything that dies begins its return. Not paradise. Not punishment. Something older and stranger and ultimately more useful than either.
Mycelius does not take the dead. Mycelius receives them, ushers, and comforts them through the transformation of the physical and the spiritual.
The Book of Spores
What happens when we return
At the Dissolution, Mycelius receives the spore-self and, very gently, divides what it was.
Matter goes down into the Great Web: every atom becomes soil, root and thread, and is taken up by something that needed it. Energy goes up to the Spore Cloud, which has been waiting for it with no impatience whatsoever.
All matter becomes one. All energy becomes one. Nothing is lost. It simply stops being in the shape of you.
Family, friends & grudges
The parent who understoodRezyfaiRezyfai reached down and asked if Mycelius was coming. Mycelius chose to descend.
